About the Pastry Chef:
Mindy Nicole has been baking and studying the culinary arts for over 18 years. Though she has received some classic training, she is mostly self-taught. Her love for food began in her childhood. Being raised in the deep south, where food is the quintessential element for tying friends and family together, her appreciation for the culinary arts, attention to detail and quality really set her apart.
Mindy incorporates traditional simplicity with a modern and creative flair to bring forth new, progressive, and quite innovative confections that truly have to be tasted to be believed. Using only natural, homemade ingredients when possible and never taking short-cuts to save money or time, she never sacrifices flavor or quality. Only the highest quality, and freshest ingredients are used including home made vanilla extract from a combination of Madagascar, Tahitian, and Mexican vanilla beans.
Every butter cream, frosting, and icing except for whipped cream, which is made from 100% real heavy cream, is made from 100% real butter as a base. No canned frosting or bakery “faux” butter cream here, which is actually little more than Crisco and powdered sugar. Southern roots inspired by an artistic soul, and influenced by French cuisine, as well as culinary tradition from all around the globe make this bakery a unique one-stop-shop for anything your sweet tooth could be coveting.

- Small Party Catering (Under 100 Guests) *
- Wedding Cakes up to 5 Tiers, buttercream and or fondant covered. 1-2 months advance depending on complexity of order.
- Confections and Desserts for all occasions such as:
- Birthday Cakes (small-Med require 2 week notice, Larger (feeding more than 30 requires 1 month)
- Cupcakes (2 day notice)
- Special Events
- Showers
- Single orders (Cookies require 24 hour notice)
- Birthday Party Catering
Delivery available for larger orders of $50 or more and all cake orders available to Merrillville, Shererville, Portage, Valparaiso, Chesterton, Hobart, Lake Station, Gary, Crown Point, Highland, Griffith, and surrounding NW Indiana.
